Regional Director, Coding & Informatics

Monique Rasmussen is the Regional Director of Coding & Informatics working in the Health Information Management team at Providence Health Care. She oversees the collection of data for acute, surgical day care, emergency, and tertiary mental health sites across four health organizations in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia—Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care, and PHSA. Additionally, she is responsible for data quality and clinical improvement initiatives to support the delivery of high-quality data within BC’s health system.

Monique has over 30 years of experience in health information management, holds a Master of Health Administration degree in Health Informatics and Information Management, and has been a long-time member of CHIMA.
