Lyka has more than eight years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence and is currently serving as the Data Engineer at VHA Home Healthcare in Toronto. She is responsible for collecting data from different data sources and making sure it’s standardized and easily accessible for data consumers or stakeholders. In her current role, she is involved in creating Client Care Dashboard and implementing Clinical Self-Service, which allows clinical leaders to extract the data they need efficiently and make informed decisions. Lyka’s role is key to supporting the VHA’s strategic plan to use business intelligence to enable data-driven decision making. Prior to VHA, Lyka was the Senior Data Analyst at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto for three years and three years as the Quality Assurance and Technical Analyst at the University Health Network (UHN). In her previous roles, Lyka was involved in several projects such as migrating data warehouse from an on-premise server to Azure Cloud, automating data transfer process, converting excel reports to business intelligence tool (Microsoft PowerBI), creating dashboards and more.
