Ladan is responsible for leading Grand River Hospital (GRH) towards its vision of becoming a world class ‘Insight Drive Organization’. She is accountable for developing GRH’s Data Strategy as well as ITS Data Governance and Analytics framework and roadmap, implementing a full structure and data modelled Cloud Data Lake, as well as enterprise-wide reporting and advanced analytics. Ladan has more than twenty-three years of experience in healthcare Analytics, Decision Support, Performance Measurement, Health Information Management and Business Intelligence. Prior to GRH, Ladan was the Director of Purchasing, Decision Support, Business Intelligence and IT at Shared Services West. Preceding that, for seven years, she was the Director of Decision Support, Case Costing and Business Intelligence at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. At SickKids she led the design, development and implementation of SickKids award winning (Accreditation Canada Leading Practice 2019) enterprise-wide Business Intelligence solution and the data mindset/literacy initiative which empowered the hospital with insight-driven decision-making capabilities. Between 2004 and 2012, Ladan was the manager of Performance Measurement and Decision Support at the Credit Valley Hospital (CVH) – Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga. She was responsible for establishing the department of Decision Support and Wait Times at CVH. Providing vision and direction to enable organizational performance measurement, knowledge exchange and data-driven decision making through designing and implementing hospital’s first Business Intelligence and automated Balanced Scorecard solution. Ladan has also worked at University Health Network (UHN), the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), and the Life Sciences & Healthcare research arm of the Knowledge-Based Industries at the Royal Bank of Canada. Ladan holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Laval University in Quebec City, and a Masters Certification in HealthCare Management form Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
