Rachel Skellet has a Bachelor of Public Health degree from Brock University and a Masters of Science in Public Health degree from the University of London (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). Since completing these degrees, Rachel has worked at Niagara Region Public Health and Middlesex-London Health Unit as an epidemiologist. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Rachel has worked as the Data Lead supporting the Emergency Operations Centre at Niagara Region Public Health. In this role, she is responsible for leading a team of epidemiologists to report COVID-related data for both internal decision making and to the public. In addition, she works to ensure data accuracy and that privacy is maintained. Outside of her role in the pandemic, Rachel supports the data needs related to other communicable diseases as well as supports departmental strategic projects.
