Michael Caesar

Chief Data & Analytics Officer

University Health Network

Michael Caesar is the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for University Health Network in Toronto as well as Adjunct Faculty with the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.  Michael brings over 20 years experience supporting and leading organizational change.  He has served in several healthcare leadership roles focusing on complex clinical change management, transformation, clinical process improvement and enterprise and regional program management.

 

Michael has multi sector experience across multiple organizations, including primary care, acute care, rehab, emergency and community care, delivering both strategic partnership and focused analytics and change management.  Michael has led multiple enterprise wide transformation efforts resulting in reduced patient wait times, efficient transitions of care and improved patient safety.  Complimenting Michael’s change management work, he founded one of the first hospital based teams in Ontario focused on LEAN healthcare process improvement – delivering services at both the hospital and regional levels, concentrating on efficient and effective delivery of care.

 

Michael and his team have been awarded several international awards for quality improvement and change management – he earned his MBA from the University of Victoria.
