As Vice President of Programs, Services and Chief Nursing Executive at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Irene Andress brings over 30 years of experience in progressive, operational management and leadership roles across the continuum of care including in public health, women’s and children’s health, clinical care and services, inter-professional practice and organizational learning. A dynamic and visionary leader, Irene is committed to developing and leading people to realize outstanding personal and professional results. Irene holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (previously Ryerson University), a Master of Nursing Administration degree from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management Advanced Health Care and Senior Leadership Programs. Irene has an adjunct appointment and instructor at the Bloomberg School of Nursing, University of Toronto. Irene is recognized as an extraordinary leader with a passion for achieving clinical excellence through transformation, partnership and outcomes achievement. As a senior leader, she is active in the social media world and has shared her growing experience, expertise and knowledge of the use of social media and digital technology in leadership and clinical circles.
